Accessibility statement

1. Goal and status

The website nordicsite.fi aims to meet level AA of the WCAG 2.1 guidelines. We assessed the site ourselves on 14 September 2026 with automated checks (contrast, heading structure, form labels) and manually with a keyboard and a screen reader. In our assessment the site meets the requirements with the exceptions listed below.

2. What we have done

• All features, including the menu, price calculator, image gallery and cookie settings, work with a keyboard. Focus is always clearly visible.
• Each page starts with a skip link to the content. Headings form a logical hierarchy and every page has one main heading.
• Text contrast against the background is at least 4.5:1 in both the light and dark theme. You can switch the theme yourself.
• Images have descriptive text alternatives. Decorative images and 3D scenes are hidden from screen readers, and their content is described in text.
• Forms have visible labels, hints and clear error messages that are announced to screen readers.
• Motion and animation stop if reduced motion is selected in the operating system.
• Core functions (content, links, the form) work without JavaScript.

3. Known issues

• The 3D scenes on the front page and the Merchant App page are decorative and contain no information that is not available as text. They cannot be operated with a keyboard, which is intentional.
• The Merchant App screenshots contain interface text that is not repeated in full in the text alternatives. The essential content is described in the caption.
• The terms and the cancellation & refund policy are available in Finnish and English but not in Swedish.

4. Feedback and contact

If you notice an accessibility problem or cannot use part of the site, let us know. We reply within 14 days and fix the issue as soon as possible.

5. Supervisory authority

In Finland, the accessibility of digital services is supervised by the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom (saavutettavuusvaatimukset.fi). NordicSite is a two-person microenterprise not covered by the accessibility requirements, but we take feedback just as seriously.
